Pong (stylized PONG) is one of the first marketed video games, produced by Atari as an arcade in 1972 and as a dedicated console in 1975. It is a ping-pong simulator (hence the name “PONG”), with extremely simplified graphics in white and black.
Pong is a two-dimensional sports video game that simulates table tennis in a very simplified way. The player controls a racket in the form of a white bar that he can move vertically along one side of the screen. You can play single against the computer or with two players. The player’s objective is to hit a ball, simulated by a small square, and return it to the other racket: the player who fails to return the ball concedes a point to his opponent. The ball moves in a uniform straight motion and can bounce off the top and bottom sides of the screen.

with the release of FIFA 10 the PES series was surpassed in sales in Europe, from FIFA 11 onwards the chapters have undergone a graphic improvement compared to previous editions.
In 2022 EA Sport announced that the agreement with FIFA was canceled due to the licensing costs for the use of the brand, therefore the contract between the two companies ended definitively after 29 years and FIFA 23 was thus the last chapter of the series FIFA. EA Sports will continue to publish football games under the new name EA Sports FC, while FIFA has announced that it will partner with other developers to make a new game under the FIFA name that will be released in 2024. No video game in the series has been released on 2023, while EA released EA Sports FC 24.

The releases of the following years suffered a lot of criticism for the few game modes due to bugs that had not yet been resolved and due to few improvements from one title to another in the period (1999-2002) there was a decline in popularity in the games of the FIFA series also if the absence of strong rivals guaranteed a certain success, following the increase in the diffusion of the new consoles and the challenge between rivals such as Pro Evolution Soocer presented by Konami began to damage the primacy of FIFA.
both FIFA and Pro Evolution Soocer had their own followings even as FIFA continued to dominate the European market.
with FIFA Football 2003 EA encouraged the improvement of the game and made a leap in quality and a year later, with the 2004 version it included a new game mode called football fusion in FIFA where it allowed those who owned FIFA football 2004 and TCM 2004 to combine the two games.
When Konami announced Pro Evolution Soocer 3 would arrive on PC, and so EA worked twice as hard to revive the series.
in the following years both FIFA and Pro Evolution Soocer attracted great interest but FIFA had more sales than Pro Evolution Soocer.
